Formation of the Chartered Accountants Ireland Golf Society

The following press cutting appeared in the Belfast News Letter on Thursday 17th September 1920 reporting on an event which took place on the previous Monday, the 14th September.

The Golf society is 98 years old this year and has now held 91 annual meetings (the years of the second world war explaining the missing events). Since 1953 the outing has been held every year at Rosses Point by the kind permission of the County Sligo Golf Club.

In 2020 we will be delighted to celebrate the centenary of the Chartered Accountants Ireland Golf Society. If you have any ideas on how this significant milestone should be marked please contact Peter Greene (peter@pgraccountants.com)

The report of the second meeting followed in the Irish Times on 15 October 1921

And the third from 1922
