New for 2024 - Saturday Social Golf Competition

Chartered Accountants Ireland Golf Society are delighted to launch a new social golf competition to our annual outing to County Sligo Golf Club at Rosses Point. Member golfers of all abilities are invited to join us for fun, social golfing event on Saturday 25 May, but what is it all about and who is it for? Here are the answers to the most frequent questions we have been getting!

Who: Any member who is a social or novice golfer

When: Afternoon, Saturday 25 May 2024

Where: Bomore Course at County Sligo Golf Club

Why: The golf society is a network of members who happen to be golfers of all levels and abilities. What they all have in common is the ability to enjoy the social side of golfing to the fullest! Conversations start over coffee and lunch at the golf club before hitting the green, to craic and banter with a drink in hand for the pre-dinner putting competition.  After the putting competition on Saturday evening, a three course dinner will be enjoyed by all in County Sligo Golf Course. The wine and pints flow, and everyone enjoys a good time, often finishing with a song or two.

The social golf event is addition to the Golf Societies offering for 2024. It is aimed to allow members to have a taste of what the golf network is all about without feeling pressured to golf at a high level. It will be relaxed, fun event and will allow members to meet new people and have some fun.

What do you need? Casual, comfortable clothes, bring a jumper and waterproofs, Rosses Point can be windy and wet, although the sun has shone for the last few years, and the views are breathtaking! You will need golf shoes.

Golf clubs can be hired for €25 from the Pro Shop at the club (reservation needed) or bring your own.
